It consists of structures surrounding three plazas, including several step-pyramids, the tallest being 12.2 meters high. The site has a number of carved stelae illustrating the ancient city's rulers. A smooth stone ledgeat the end of the trail rises steeply about 20 feet above the pool. This is a favorite jumping spot for local thrill seekers.
Surrounding limestone boulders allow easy exploration above the pool, or if you prefer, you can cool of in the crystal clear waters. Trees and flowering vegetation encircle the cliffs providing cool shade.
