It consists of structures surrounding three plazas, including several step-pyramids, the tallest being 12.2 meters high. The site has a number of carved stelae illustrating the ancient city'

After Nim Li Punit you will enjoy a traditional Belizean lunch at Big Falls Village. After this tasty and unforgettable lunch you will continue your journey past the village of Santa Cruz, where after a short walk you will find one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Belize, the Rio Blanco Waterfalls. The jungle-surrounded trail is only a mile long from the road and at the end you will find the beauty of Rio Blanco Waterfalls National Park. ledgeat the end of the trail rises steeply about 20 feet above the pool. This is a favorite jumping spot for local thrill seekers.
Surrounding limestone boulders allow easy exploration above the pool, or if you prefer, you can cool of in the crystal clear waters. Trees and flowering vegetation encircle the cliffs providing cool shade. There are many species of birds and butterflies flying around and your guide will be on the lookout for the best displays to point out to you.
