Day 1: Welcome to Belize | Orange Walk Town
After arriving in Belize, you will be met by our friendly TIDE Tours guide at the International Airport in Belize City and drive to the Hispanic district of Orange Walk. Thereafter, enjoy a tasty Mestizo meal at a restaurant in town. Overnight in Orange Walk Town.

Day 2: Banquitas House of Culture | San Ignacio
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel. Then continue onto a historical and cultural tour at the Banquitas House of Culture. Learn about the history of the northern settlements in Belize and view ancient Maya artefacts that have been discovered throughout history. Drive to San Ignacio for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Famed Xunantunich Maya Temple | Punta Gorda
After breakfast, experience the wonders of Xunantunich Maya Temple tour. A quick ferry ride will get you across the Mopan River to this site. Your guide will explain its fascinating history and importance back when this civilization was active in the Belizean economy and you will even have a chance to climb up the ancient ruin and take in the views from the top. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Cayo before your drive south to Punta Gorda for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Living Maya | Waterfall | Punta Gorda
Experience the vibrant culture of Mayas and learn a variety of their traditional activities. Today you will traverse into the land of the Mayas. Visit authentic Mayan homes and learn to make traditional foods and craft. You can choose to participate in cooking lessons, pottery making, embroidery and other crafts. Enjoy a traditional Mayan meal known as Caldo (type of soup), made with chicken and local spices served with corn tortillas before spending the afternoon visiting stunning waterfalls nearby these Maya villages for a cool and refreshing swim! Dinner and overnight in Punta Gorda Town.

Day 5: Garifuna Immersion | Ixcacao Chocolate Factory Tour
Venture off by boat to the Garifuna Community of Barranco. Here you will be met by a local village guide, who will tour you around the village, visit the Garifuna museum and sacred attractions in the village. Learn how to play the drums in different styles and even how to dance the music! After the Garifuna tour, stop in at the Ixcacao Chocolate factory for a truly indulgent experience. Here you will learn how to make chocolate the traditional Maya way from start to finish. Dinner and overnight in Punta Gorda Town.

Day 6: Kayak along Joe Taylor Creek | Punta Gorda
Spend the day exploring Punta Gorda town, shopping for souvenirs and meeting friendly locals. Enjoy a 2 hour kayaking journey on the Joe Taylor creek, and learn about mangroves and award-winning conservation efforts of our parent organization, Toledo Institute for Development and Environment, as you paddle from freshwater out to sea. Enjoy a tasty fireheart dinner at the Maroon Creole Drum School with live creole drummings and overnight in Punta Gorda Town.

Day 7: Departure
Air transfer to the Belize International Airport after breakfast from Punta Gorda for your international departure home.
